Sacred Valley And Machu Picchu

Sapantiana Aqueduct

An unforgettable journey into the heart of the Inca Empire!

This 3-day program has been strategically designed for travelers who wish to discover Cusco’s two most visited and treasured sites at a leisurely pace, yet with a profound cultural immersion. It’s the perfect route to understand the wisdom of the Andean civilization before culminating your adventure at the Wonder of the World.

During this experience, you will travel through the fertile Sacred Valley, marveling at the textile art of Chinchero, the astonishing grid of the ancient salt mines of Maras, the mysterious concentric circles of Moray, and the imposing military fortress of Ollantaytambo. The journey culminates with the most anticipated highlight of South America: a guided tour through the sacred mysteries of the legendary citadel of Machu Picchu, connecting with its mystical energy and breathtaking architecture.

  • DAY 1: Arrival in Cusco – Welcome and Acclimatization
You will be met at the Cusco airport or bus terminal and transferred privately to your hotel. This first day is reserved exclusively for rest and allowing your body to gradually acclimatize to the altitude (3,399 m above sea level). We recommend a leisurely stroll through the picturesque cobblestone streets of the city center to connect with the city’s energy.

  • DAY 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas (Chinchero, Maras, Moray, and Ollantaytambo) – Connection to Aguas Calientes
We begin the day exploring the most iconic sites of the Sacred Valley. We will visit the traditional town of Chinchero with its textile heritage and colonial church; the spectacular Maras Salt Mines (with more than 3,500 salt ponds exploited since pre-Incan times); and the astonishing agricultural terraces of Moray. We’ll have lunch in Urubamba, and in the afternoon, we’ll explore the majestic fortress of Ollantaytambo. From there, we’ll board the train to Aguas Calientes to rest.

  • DAY 3: Machu Picchu Sanctuary – The Culminating Experience and Return to Cusco
The most anticipated day! Very early in the morning, we’ll ascend by tourist bus to the legendary citadel of Machu Picchu. You’ll enjoy a comprehensive 2.5-hour guided tour of the main temples, plazas, and royal enclosures, understanding their astonishing engineering and Inca spirituality. In the afternoon, we’ll return by train to Ollantaytambo and then by private transport back to your hotel in Cusco.
