Machu Picchu Full Day Tour

Experience the unique wonder of the world in a single day!

This program has been strategically designed for travelers with limited time who don’t want to miss the majesty of the Inca citadel. It combines the comfort of a private transfer, a scenic train journey along the majestic Urubamba River, and a comprehensive interpretive tour with professional guides who will bring every corner of history to life.

During this day, you will enjoy a breathtaking transition of landscapes, from the Andean agricultural valleys to the lush cloud forest that embraces the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. A comfortable, efficient, and memorable experience in the heart of the Andes.

  • Early Morning: Cusco Transfer and Scenic Train
We start the day very early with a direct pick-up from your hotel in Cusco and transfer to the Ollantaytambo or Poroy train station. From there, you will board the tourist train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo), enjoying a 1 hour and 45 minute journey along one of the most beautiful train routes in South America, surrounded by Andean mountains and verdant fields.

  • Mid-Morning: Bus Ride and Guided Tour
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, our staff will meet you and take you on the Consettur tourist bus. The ascent to the Sanctuary takes about 25 minutes along a winding road through lush vegetation. Once inside, you will enjoy a comprehensive 2.5-hour guided tour of the key attractions: the Main Plaza, the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana, and the Royal Quarters.

  • Afternoon: Free Time, Lunch, and Return to Cusco
After the guided tour, you will have additional free time to admire the Andean landscape, take photographs, and connect with the mystical energy of the place. Then, you will descend by bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch on your own, choosing from the diverse local options. In the afternoon, you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo, and a comfortable transfer will take you back to your hotel in Cusco.
